    2. This one was just ok to me. There was just way too much going onAnd it didn't help that this was book 2 of a series (I didn't realize that until about halfway through), so I felt a little left out of the bigger picture. It was a breath of fresh air in the fact the the main gal (Erin) didn't believe in any of the Vamp/Witch stuff, and it took some hard core convincing to make her truly believe it. A lot of the time characters just "accept" it to easily"I'm a vampire""No you're not, Vampires aren' [...]

    3. This book was OK but not great. I sort of enjoyed it, but it didn't ever really grab me and make me want to read more. Don't think I'll bother with the next book in the series

    4. I was in the mood for Arthurian romances and asked for recs on Twitter. This series was the first one mentioned. While it wasn't quite what I was looking for in terms of Arthurian legend, I found the series to be pretty cracktastic. I read 5 full-length novels and 3 novellas back-to-back. In Knight's world, Arthur and his round table actually exist, but they're immortal vampires charged with saving humanity from itself. Merlin and Nimue are aliens from another planet who realized early on civili [...]

    5. Haunted by the night her partner was murdered, the heroine has convinced herself that the things she saw were all drug induced halluctionas. But it resulted in the loss of her job in the FBI. Now she works for a private police force and is on the trail of the man she knows is responsible. The path leads her to the hero. A playboy, rich and hansom with a dangerous edge, she's willing to sleep with him to get closer to finding her enemy. The hero, a vampire in Arthurs court zeros in on the beauty [...]

    6. eh, pretty average paranormal romance. Not the most scintillating, but not horrible.

    7. I started reading this book last night. I am on chapter 8. I like it because it blends history with vampires and witches.

    8. This book was down-right awful. Unlike some of the other review that I've read, I did actually finish the novel, but it was a real struggle. Let me just go into the reason's why I HATED this book:1. Too much going on - we have Merlin, the knights of the round table, otherworldly angel/demon things, faeries, vampires, witches, and the FBI. There was just way too much going on.2. Knight made me feel nothing for her characters. The plot was so complicated and the sex scenes were so graphic that the [...]

    9. NO NO NO think this book is just an excuse to write porn. I counted the word “cock” at least 65 times in this book. The storyline goes like this… Merlin and Nimue who were Alien Fae came to earth to make champions and teachers out of the races on earth which were the faerie or sidje and the humans. They decided to let the bravest, most intelligent and most skilled drink from the Merlin’s Grail which gave them powers. The males who drank from the cup became Magi or vampires while the femal [...]

    10. Absolute literary garbage! If this book were any cheesier it would grow mold. I feel like I lost twenty IQ points forcing myself to endure this pointless, plotless "story". The writing style is of Wal-Mart quality, and the dialogue wooden predictability masquerading as wit and coy. Penthouse Letters have more plot and much better eroticism than this novel. What is really unfortunate is that the world-building element of the backstory, and I'm referring to the pre-prologue, had so much potential. [...]

    11. Ok! This book made me laugh. In a cheesy but a more educated sort of cheesy. Vampires are very cool. All vampires are men. Their counterpart women are Maja (witches) Not everyone can turn maja or vamp. The governing board of the bunch are King Arthur & the knights of the round table. And a Fae The way to turn a Latent Vamp or Maja is by sex. really good sex. 3 times!! Oooooo. sounding good so far? OOokkk! Yep. This old Vamp Reese & his "Latent" evening screw, who was actually undercover [...]

    12. I have to say I was initially disappointed when I started reading this novel that I wasn't reading about Lancelot and his new wife Grace's story instead of Reece Champion and Erin Grayson's. Once I got past that, I liked the characters. The chain of events that finds them kidnapped and imprisoned together by an ancient evil Geiroff requires a lot of suspension of disbelief, but it is a good yarn and is provides a natural context for learning the rules of this fictional universe. Llyr, King of th [...]

    13. i downloaded this book because i was in search of another audio book to keep me occupied while i was eagerly awaiting another. it wasn't terrible, nor was it the first for me by Angela Knight. the story line was ok. has vamps and some characters like King Arthur and Merlin was mentioned as well. it was kind of a time travel novel in the since that some characters from medieval days were around. Knight did an ok job with the world building. i had to re-listen a couple times to understand the diff [...]

    14. I picked this up because I was intrigued by reading some short stories set in this universe over the last couple years. I still like the premise but think this book lacks focus, veering from light humor to raunchiness to magical war. It sparked silly associations in my mind at times, with terms like Mageverse Fever (I think it's goin' around ) and Truebond (better than super glue?) sprinkled throughout. Some of the dialog also sounded clunky to my ear. I think I'll try one more book in the serie [...]

    15. This book was cheesy and repetitive. I forced myself to finish it, though I didn't really care either way - I like the time warrior story better, and will go back and read the 1st in that series not sure if I would continue on with this series, just seemed bland, and very little int he way of a real story oh well.

    16. this book was pretty awesomee storyline was quick and sucked you right in the world was amazing, and it just drew you in. And the action and the sex scenes were masterful. I love how this author's world mixes avalon into it's own demension and mixes it with earth as we know it now. Now to move onto the rest of the series.

    17. Now I like a spicy book but this was just awful writing. I listened to it on audio and had to keep rewinding. It just didn't hold my attention and the dialog was crass. I might read the next book but don't hold your breath.

    18. The plot may be rather cheesy and uneventful, but this book is quite a scorcher. If you're looking for a light read with a lot of spice, here's a good pick.

    19. 3.75. the story itself was good, but the interpretation of a vampire was a little too unique. it left the ability to create an entirely new type of cast for future books, but it caused a back up in the reading flow with information.

    20. This was a good book. I would have liked it more if it hadn't had all the wordy/ slightly graphic sex scenes. The story was good, the world building was a little iffy, the side characters were well written, and I finished it wanting to read more of the series, which I already own some of them.

    21. I could make a massive list of all the fanfictions that I've read that do everything that this book does, but a thousand times better.

    22. second time around just as good! Love the world building, lots of sexy time but also love use of modern and arthurian legend twists. will be re reading the whole series.

    23. Wow. Angela is a new to me author. I'm so glad I was introduced to her books. This book is full of danger, intrigue, and romance. I highly recommend reading it.

    24. Great bookIf you like magic, vampires, and witches Don,t miss this book. Lots of action and romance. The author has it all

    25. Well I finally finished this. Took long enough. Maybe I'm just not a fan of fantasy, because this isn't JUST about vampires. The sex parts are hot, as are the dirty talking scenes. It's been quite a while since I read a story where the sex really gets me burning, and this is definitely on the list for that. But, sex aside, the premises is good, just lengthy. For the first half of the book, I couldn't put it down. Every time I read some, the story was creative and the hot, juicy scenes kept you mov [...]

    26. This book falls into three rating categories for meFirst -- THE CHARACTERS.The characters were template but enjoyable. It's the standard vampire meets lifemate while fighting to save all of mankind from demonic destruction. The problem is they are not memorable. I finished it on my inbound morning commute of one hour. I remember the heroine's name is Erin but the hero's name keeps changing in my mindhe was not unique. The supporting cast caught my attention and I would like to read more about th [...]

    27. Erin Grayson - latent Majae / witch, Reece Champion - Magus/vampire Geirolf - alien/ex Egyptian god Arthur/Gwenivere fae king Llyr Aleyn Galatyn Janieda - fae king's lover;Reece is Magus of America for 200 years - currently FBIish Erin, FBI (family of law enforcement) lost her partner in a strange, magical fight leave-Series of suicide pact deaths both Erin and Reece are investigating and they hook up Reece recognizes her as a latent, and he has no intention of 'awakening', so only one sexual en [...]

    28. OK read, but I didn't love it. I didn't get too involved in this book until the second half, maybe because so much time was spent up front revealing the world and the situation the characters were in, although it was done in an interesting enough way. The world is an intriguing one, with inter-dimensional guardian vampires such as Merlin and the knights of the Round Table and female mages trying to save humans from themselves as they work their way up the evolutionary ladder. (Sounds really biza [...]
