    1. Like The Ending Series on FacebookLike Lindsey on FacebookLindsey s websiteLindsey Fairleigh lives her life with one foot in a book as long as that book transports her to a magical world or bends the rules of science Her novels, from post apocalyptic to time travel and historical fantasy, always offer up a hearty dose of unreality, along with plenty of adventure and romance When she s not working on her next novel, Lindsey spends her time reading and trying out new recipes in the kitchen She lives in the Pacific Northwest with her two very confused cats.Lindsey Fairleigh on Pinterest

    2. The plot was goodbut the reason for the low amount of starswas becauseyou really needed to read the books before thise the author would make Kat (the main character) reference about the past, but wouldn't give much of what happened. I have read many books that have been part of a seriesd it didn't matter what book you started with. aspects would be told about to keep you up with storyis one had too many references to the partd not enough explanations

    3. Inkwitch was a great start for the new year. Right off the bat Farliegh reminded me of Annie Bellet (Twenty sided Sorceress). I like the characters and the relationship dynamics. The first three chapters felt like slipping into a comfy pair of slippers. First person, strong lead character, good intoduction to the story-line. There was a lot of world building to establish. And I liked that Farleigh took her time establishing the foundation. Nothing turns me off quicker than an immediate info-dump [...]

    4. If you haven't already read this BRILLIANT authors series 'Echo Trilogy' which starts with the HIGHLY addicting "Echo In Time" I strongly suggest you do so before reading this book. First off because it's a great book lol. However mainly so you won't be lost as to who all these characters are. Most of the characters in INK WITCH are introduced and fleshed out in the aforementioned series. This is the continuation in a spin off. We find Kat a number of years after she left everyone at the end of [...]

    5. I absolutely loved it and I absolutely can not wait to read more I was given this opportunity by being a part of Lindsey's advanced reader team I am more that happy to have joined I really get sucked into these books I read them so fast I can never put them down I actually only finished the last couple of pages this morning, but had I not had a busy night at work, this book would have been done since yesterday Ok, so I really don't like to contain spoilers in my reviews because I hate reading re [...]

    6. More of a 2.75 stars. Starts out with a tarot card reading gone mildly wrong, then drops us in a tattoo parlor with an apartment about--which only slightly redecorated my mental layout of the tattoo parlor/apartment from Jocelynn Drake's book, Angel's Ink. I'm still willing to follow along and see what this story has to tell, but I have to admit that I hesitated when Nik strolled in. I considered giving up for fear of getting dragged into a paranormal romance when I was expecting UF. Then they f [...]

    7. In some ways this is pretty typical UF fare with a main female character who has attitude, kicks butt and thinks she needs to stay away from those she loves in order to keep them safe. In other ways it is unique (at least to me) with paranormal entities originating from Egyptian gods and goddesses. A solid storyline and good narration on the audiobook made this an entertaining read.**Addendum: I just discovered that this is a spinoff series to the author's Echo in Time series. I will admit that [...]

    8. Wow, this book has a lot of new twists on magic and witchcraft and other worldly abilities. Really original. I want to be sure that the readers and the author both know that this book has everything that is needed to have five stars. To me, it seemed fractured and stay that way all the way to the end. I wanted to put it down and stop reading it a few times but since I was about 60% through I wanted to push and finish. I think the author has the potential for absolute greatness and I don't know w [...]

    9. Egyptian gods and goddesses morph into a Supergirl fantasy crossed with Jessica Jones. This is a YA series that isn't.The heroine is 38 trapped in the body - and hormones - of an 18 year old. For eternity. Or until she is killed - but she is very very hard to kill. The myths of Old Egypt meet - something new to me, although it seemed to be loosely based on these myths with lots of additions.Did I like the books? Of course. I always like a kickass female heroine and Kat wins on all scales from her [...]

    10. I found a new author!!!!!I love, love, love, LOVE THIS SERIES!!! I just read it. all in one sitting and I LOVE THE characters!! What a TERRIFIC start to what promises to be an amazing series!! If you love Heather Graham ( I adore her!) You will LOVE Lindsey Fairleigh!! She sucks you in from the very first paragraph, and dumps you out at the end. Leaving you SCRAMBLING to Find the next book in the series!! Ms. Fairleigh, I am sooo happy I found you!!!! Today is a GREAT day!!

    11. Kat Dubois is immortal and a haunted woman with a really dark past, she toiled away the last 20 years in a ink parlor being a recluse and stopping all contact with her family and immortal clan. Now the past has come back knocking on her door. People from her clan and children are disappearing. It fall to her to look for them. It was really awesome, there was a lot of character growth in that single book, action and some self-destructive action from Kat. But she snap out of it. I can't wait to re [...]

    12. I like this author. Although I can't say I like how she ended her other series. Before you read this book you might want to read the other series first. I had to stop this book and go back and read the last book in the previous series to fill in some details. I met Kat in the first series and wasn't really impressed. I can't say she's grown on me. Especially since it's been 20years for her and she still acts like a spoiled teenager. I did however think the story was interesting and enjoyed it we [...]

    13. Holy crap, I just discovered a new favorite author. I binge read everything she's written after reading this book, that's how good it was. Now just waiting for her to release the Afterlife (book 6). If you like complex character, sassy badasses, dark themes with humor, scifi, romance you need to read this author. But don't be like me and start with this series, do it right and start with The Echo series. You can jump into this one, but after reading the Echo books you will realize that you misse [...]

    14. Who doesn't like a kick-ass female? Even if she is a 38 year old trapped in an 18 year old bodyd maybe a teeny bit spoiled to boot. This is an interesting story and intriguing characters. I do think the story would have been better if I had read Echo Series first as this is a spin-off from that series and you don't get the background on the characters as they were introduced and grew in the previous series. I liked the Egyptian elements with the story as well. I would like to try the other serie [...]

    15. Kat Dubois has the looks and body of an eighteen year girl. But looks can be deceiving. What lies beneath the surface is a hardened warrior with enough battle scars to last a lifetime. The author has created a set of complex character's that bring to life a journey of hurt and betrayal. Kat had left her family, her life as warrior and her friends behind. She started over, trying to find her way as her own person. That is until she heard that her brother was missing. This set off a series of even [...]

    16. I downloaded Ink Witch as a free book from . This was a 3.5 read for me, rounded up due to the unique storyline. Kat had some really good lines and interesting talents, but there was no clear strong male protagonist, and other secondary characters were one-dimensional. I'd possibly read a second book of the series, but I'd have higher expectations for better character development for, if not a love interest, at least a matching partner to work at her side.

    17. Didn't know when to endThere were several lines and scenes that could have been the end. But it just kept going to the inciting incident of the second book. It was a pretty good book except for the pacing. The climax was muddy probably because the logical climax wasn't the climax. So there was a major emotional scene, a little build up and then another major emotional scene instead of a clear climax.

    18. Good storyI liked the characters and story. However the reason I did not give this 5 stars because this would have been excellent if fleshed out more and been a full length novel. More in depth background would have allowed me to connect with the characters but as it is it felt incomplete. I enjoyed it enough to give the next story a go.

    19. Read this book while vacationing on the west coast. It was really different and incredibly good. I have always loved ancient Egyptian history and this was all tied up with the ancient Egyptian gods, but placed in modern times. This is the first book of a trilogy and I can't wait to download the second book.

    20. Highly RecommendI enjoyed this read from Lindsey Farleigh just as much as I enjoyed the Echo series. You can read this as a stand-alone but it makes more sense if you read the Echo series first. I laughed, I cried, and I was entranced by this story. I highly recommend Ink Witch.

    21. Totally awesome!!!I just finished this book and I bought the next one. The story is well written and comes alive in your mind as you read. I was right there with Kat through the whole book and could barely put it down.

    22. realized after the book finished this may not be the right place to start. It's an interesting world, placed in Seattle but with magic and some weird other shit.Would rec to anyone into the urban fantasy, first person storyprobably gonna explore this world a little more

    23. I'm nearly finished with this one. And I'm liking it well enough that I'm considering the next one in line. The only thing that's stopping me is that I have a lot of unread books awaiting my attention.

    24. Great read This is the first book that I have read from this author. But it will not be the last.Very good book, love the Character of Kat nd the plot is well written and flowing with enough twists to keep you reading. Cannot wait to start book 2

    25. Great readThis was a fun read. The heroine was sassy and bold. I liked her a lot. I thought the premise was original. The action was fast-paced and kept me barreling through the book. Loved it.

    26. Great new to me seriesThoroughly enjoyed this start and looking forward to the next book. Well written with little cliff hangersOK one big one lol but good stories leave you wanting mors

    27. An easy 3.5 to 3.75 stars, I can see how it has an average of 4 stars on here. This is the first book I have read by this author and if the rest in the series are as good I may have to upgrade this one to a 4 for the series as a whole. I will for sure continue with the series.

    28. EnjoyableI really enjoyed this book. It has an interesting storyline and some great characters. I felt like we are at the tip of the ice burg with theses characters. It was both exciting and intriguing.

    29. Good. This would have been scored higher but there are some things i could have done without. I was unsure of this book at first because it was very repetive but after awhile it turned out really good. :)
