I've read this book many, many times--I think it was one of the first books that put the idea in my head that it was really, truly possible for me to visit Europe someday.I feel like I should put a disclaimer on many of my reviews-- "Don't expect this to be a GOOD book"--it's definitely a typical vintage teen fiction, but a very enjoyable one. It's semi-realistic even with all the glamour, and the stereotypes of the ten girls in the group are a hoot: snooty rich girl, overweight girl, guidebook-reading intellectual, etc. One of the reasons I liked 13 Little Blue Envelopes is that it struck me as Passport Summer for the 21st century.
