    1. Author of the twentysomething chick lit The Way It Never Was , published by Endeavour Press, the UK s leading independent publisher of digital books, available on UK and USA.A freelance copywriter for the last twelve years, Lucy has worked for businesses and creative agencies around the world She now lives on the Kent coast with her young family The Way It Never Was is her first novel Outside the world of writing, Lucy loves a good book, TV shows with story arcs she can keep track of and sitting in cafes although those heady days of idly drinking cappuccinos while pretending to be in Dawson s Creek are long gone However, that doesn t stop her regularly wishing the Globe cafe in her novel was real Lucy can be found on Twitter at lacreativeuk.

    2. Read this book very slowly over about a week, it is the sort of length that I would normally have finished in a day. I was very busy during this time but even so if the book had been one that grabbed my attention I would have been reading it at every opportunity. I didn't like the main characters at all and I only persevered to the end because I thought that reading in short bursts between important tasks was part of the reason I wasn't enjoying this book. After a couple of days reflection I'm s [...]

    3. Extremely slow.n't really reflect the main characters personality and really is a kaleidoscope of other characters all jumbled together. I'm usually open to any book, but, this one didn't grab my attention at any point. To be fair, I was so bored 10 chapters in that I just started skim reading to just see if it ever got interesting didn't, hence I finished the book quickly after that as no point of the story reeled me in. I probably would award it one star, but, feel bad for doing that

    4. I really liked it.easy to read, great description of the characters and a happy ending (which we sometimes need!) I will read most things from biographies, suspense to romance, and this I really likedn empathise with some of the characters! Would like a sequel involving some of the other characters

    5. Two and a half stars reallyI mean, it is what it is - and that's a frothy piece of enjoyable escapism. The outcome is obvious from a mile off, the characters are (for the most part) slightly annoying but it's basically sweet, it has a happy ending and it doesn't required any sort of concentration.

    6. RamblingBook seems to ramble. Story line was hard for me to follow. Not my style of book, but everyone has their own taste.
